Muslim Personal Law is an integral part of the Indian Constitution since independence.Through this Law, Indians have been able to implement the Civil Laws mentioned in the Qur'an. However, lately the judges have not been taking these laws into consideration. Also, the Constitution is aiming to introduce the Uniform Civil Code which shall deprive the Muslims from implementing even these basic Civil Laws according to the Qu'ran and Sunnah (such as Nikah, distribution of property as per Qur’an etc.).
