In almost every state, if a man is abusing his wife or girlfriend and she has finally had enough and fights back, she gets taken to jail to for domestic violence. For as long as I can remember, we have told women to defend themselves and then get out. If a woman is being abused and she isn't lying then I feel that she has every right to protect herself without the fear of going to jail for saving her own life. Now, a small percent of men are abused by their wives or girlfriends and the same rule should apply to them as well if the man's life is in danger.
