In the past 20 years, Western Australia has witnessed a severe and alarming increase in violent crime in our streets and even in people's own homes. Harsher penalties have to date, NOT detered the prevalence of violent crime in the state (or nationally). We need to make the state government of Western Australia realise that its good citizens are tired of feeling afraid in the streets and even in their own homes, and that mandatory sentencing without parole; corporal punishment; and capital punishment need to be introduced to deal with violent crimes, such as rape, sexual assault, armed assault, murder, child sex offenses, armed robbery, home invasions (whether resulting in violence or not), and yes - violence, severe negligence and cruel acts against animals. If you agree that the state government is currently in deriliction of its responsibilities, by failing to protect us through appropriate deterrents, then please sign the petition and let your support be known to the state premiere and ministers. Demand the introduction of mandatory sentencing without parole AND corporal punishment AND capital punishment AND the ability for persons to defend themselves and their loved ones at home, from armed or unarmed intruders, using any means necessary.
