It has come to our attention that new businesses have paid for registered business names, yet are not protected by privacy.

We would like you to support an amendment to allow additional privacy protection of sole traders and trading as companies.

Currently via Banking and ABN Registry there is a collision of business interests and safety for the entity or main operator, aka primary business.

This is a clear violation to privacy for both, allowing primary corporations or sole traders to be targeted by opposing competition and/or public personal interests.

We understand that sole trading and primary companies are attached as TA for Tax Office purposes to make connection this is fair enough.

What we don’t understand is that even though this may be needed, why it is needed to be displayed accordingly on bank statements and publicly displayed databases such as ABR Business Lookup.

This is where personal connection privacy is breached.

We propose that ‘Name TA’ is made invisible on bank statements, including public databases such as 'ABN Lookup', that can be access via the public for privacy and security.

Please sign the petition to back the change and protect future businesses as well as sole traders from visible exposure and targeting campaigns.
