Culling badgers helps to spread bTB at vast cost to the public. The govenment must push forward with the use of a vaccine for cattle and enforce increased bio-security by farmers.

Culling will not help btb rates it could make it worse, vaccination is the way to go.

Culling is both inhumane and ineffective and goes against the scientific evidence. Vaccination and much greater biosecurity is the only viable long term solution to the problem of Btb.

Yesterday, the government admitted that some of the data they used to justify the cull was wrong due to a computer error ! How much more misinformation has been used ?

Vaccination for cattle and badges is the most humane method to use.

Please consider all the alternatives to this insane cull that is ill conceived and a waste of tax payers money. Not to mention the total waste of life, misery and suffering caused to the badger population.

I fully support badger vaccination as a humane contribution to the solution of the problem and abhor the kind of unjustified and unecessary wholescale slaughter of badgers anywhere, as has been imposed by this government

We expect West Somerset District Council to recognise the futility of culling badgers and the serious harm it is doing to local communities. As representatives of these communities the council can support farming and wildlife by vaccinating badgers on council owned and controlled land.

The cull has not been successful and cost such a lot of money. Start vaccinating badgers now!!!

Vaccinating badgers is the only sensible and humane way forward. 25 years of killing badgers will not solve the bTB problem.

I t is hard to comprehend the killing of nearl y a thousand badgers, for no useful purpose at all if science is to be believed

The cull clearly hasn't worked. A different approach is necessary.

Vaccination is the only way to protect our badgers from the government's misguided wildlife policy.
