We intend to stop the Missouri Attorney General from banning trans youth AND adults rights to access their medical care.
This is call to action for anyone in the state of Missouri to make their voice heard, and tell Andrew Bailey we will not allow his bigotry in our home state.
Today, Missouri AG has passed an emergency ruling effectively outlawing all medical gender transition methods in the state.
They will require 3 years of documentation of dysphoria, 18+ months of therapy, and people with autism or depression are not allowed to even start this process.
This is a direct attack on the queer community, and exactly what we are fighting against at Human Rights Collective, Unity Is Power, We Are The People, and Empire 13!
Trans people are more likely to be affected by depression due to dysphoria, and societal standards put upon them!
It has been proven that “Transgender individuals not on CHT had a nearly four-fold increased risk of probable depressive disorder, compared to controls. Older age, lower self-esteem, poorer interpersonal function and less social support predicted depressive disorder. Use of CHT was associated with less depression.“ -National Library of Medicine
There’s also been medical studies proving high correlation between Gender Non Conformity and Autism! “ In sum, the current study successfully reproduced (a) the link between autistic traits and current gender dysphoric feelings/recalled cross-gender behaviour and (b) the relation between mentalising and current gender dysphoric feelings, reported by Kallitsounaki and Williams (2020). Most importantly, we found for the first time that the relation between autistic traits and gender dysphoric feelings was to a significant degree explained by mentalising ability. Although direct replication by other laboratories awaits, the main implication of these findings is that mentalising ability could be one of the underling neurocognitive mechanisms that explain the increased prevalence of gender nonconformity in people with a diagnosis of ASD.” -National Library Of Medicine
It is clear that the Republicans of this state have specifically targeted the majority of Missouri’s trans population in this attack.

As a mental health therapist, this ruling is extremely detrimental to the lives of people who are trans. Their suicide risk is already much higher than other populations and will continue to increase if this legislation is not stopped.
The emergency action alleges that doctors are incapable of making informed medical decisions but offers no evidence that there is a public health crisis. This is government overreach based on the moral sensibilities of one political demographic
This is over reach by the a state government the likes that I have not seen in my 46 years on this planet. My child has become an enemy of the State of Missouri and is now in constant fear as an am I.
My older child is mid transition and is the happiest, most at ease, they have ever been. At age 23 i believe they are capable of knowing what is right for them. Stopping mid treatment would be physically, emotionally, and psychologically devastating.
I am a 34 yr old trans woman who lives in Park hills MO and I've been on HRT for almost 2 yrs. This new action by the MO AG is attempting to obstruct essential health care I need to live. I have a 3 yr old and a 10 yr old, I need this so I can be there for my children
Trans Missourians deserve protection and inclusion
Protect our Trans family they are just loving beautiful people
