To take away car parking from the Whitesands would have a seriously detrimental effect on myself and other traders on the Vennel.

Certainly don't agree with the Council's option and most definitely agree there must be an alternative solution to save our sands.

I feel that the council's last presentation and feedback form was skewed to push those completing the form towards their desired option and that the cost of the 'Cockermouth' option was greatly inflated to put people off. An independent study of that option should be undertaken.

Please consider alternative plans for the Whitesands to protect this beautiful part of the town and all the local business that benefit from the visitors this spot attracts.

Please do not allow the council in Dumfries to build the 'Earth Bund' at the edge of the river Nith at the Whitesands in Dumfries.

Too much of the Burgh of Dumfries's historic past has been demolished without a trace apart from a plaque or two. Shame on planners for sinking it further into the ground by risking one of the most iconic views of Dumfries.

No need to spoil the view to the Nith and also the damage which will be done to the Auld Brig which is a tourist attraction There are other options the committee seen to have just ignored also the wishes of the people .Also the glass will be covers in seagull dirt and graffiti what an eye sore for visitors

There has not been a genuine consultation. Proposal is ill conceived raising too many questions and answering very little.

This is an ill thought out proposal, which will doubtless escalate in cost, and also in construction time. The money would be better spent in helping the premises affected by flooding, which only happens once or twice a year.

I do not agree with the councils decision to build the bund on whitesands. There must be a better way forward.

We have a beautiful town, please don't let our blinkered council spoil it. Flooding is part of our history, we can not stop nature !!!

Dredge it as it's probably full of rubish. It's a disgrace. Visitors won't come in to dumfries anymore it's a dump the high street is full of Crap shops now everyone shops elsewhere it's a ghost town, tye council have a lot to answer for!
