I live in Silver Spring within two blocks of Takoma Park, so the Co-op is definitely one of my grocery stores. Losing it would be taking away the character & history of the area and a proven quality store for residents from miles around.

I live on Poplar Ave., and consider the coop to be a needed food shopping option -- rather than having to drive all the way to Silver Spring to go to Whole Foods.

Please give sensible support to the Co-op for the proposed development at Takoma Junction.

Please work out the arrangement to ensure that the Coop can survive and thrive BEFORE signing any agreement for developing the space. Thank you, Wynette Yao on Garland Avenue

Please do not sign this agreement as written. It needs to GUARENTEE Coop footprint, parking, and delivery. Do not depend on the developers to make this decision. The city needs too be in control of the decision, and not just go to binding arbitration.

Keeping the co-op as a viable business must be the first priority as many citizens and council members have stated at public hearings. Unless the agreement ensures that the co-op will continue to survive, it should not be signed. "First do no harm."

I shop at the co-op several times a week. I would hate to see it close during the redevelopment of Takoma Junction. I support the redevelopment, but strongly encourage the City Council to commit to protecting a thriving business already operating in Takoma Junction. Thank you.

I love the Co-op; have been a member since 1999. Please help this important business survive and thrive during Takoma's transition.

The co-op is central to our community, and is one of the institutions that makes Takoma Park a real community. It is such a great pleasure to shop there. Please do not adopt a measure that leaves open the possibility that our community could lose it.

Keep your promise to suport and protect the Co-op. It is one of the most important busnesses in Takoma. And one of the main reasons this is a walkable neighborhood! Remember you work for us not developers. Do your job!!!!

The Co-Op is part of our community, it'll really severe our community if it's removed. Please don't

The Coop is integral to our community. It is rare these days to find a community based, different (i.e. Non chain) store that is also successful. It should be core to the Junction redevelopment, not a victim of that redevelopment.

The health of the coop is critical to TKPK. Why would you even consider sacrificing a functioning and essential local enterprise for a housing development? If the development idea is sound, they should be able to meet the needs of the coop in the design. If not then the need to consider an alternative development model. I hope TKPK is not following suit with MT. Co and pandering to the developers to increase tax revenues.
