Although living in London, we visit the Cape every year.
Swartland is one of the key reasons to do so.
To destroy an eco system which creates some of the best wines in the world.
But to dp do for such short sighted reasons, is unforgivable. Both wine and tourism will bring jobs and wealth to the local economy.
Please see sence and do the right thing both for the area and it's people.

Besides the sand mining being another example of where short term greed will result in the destruction and exploitation of our natural environment, the long term economic benefits of development of the Swartberg as a global leader in Rhone style wine production far outweigh the short term profits from sand mining. I strongly object to Sand mining in the Paardeberg region.
