Administration should be ashamed to have reached this point for students to petition removal, but the student body has decided this is the only way and after hearing the many stories from many students of the incompetence at this level is disappointing.

This petition was started to address concerns related to the included incidents and circumstances. Dr. Gruhlke is not included because the specific evidence mentioned does not appear to involve her. The petition does ask the SBHE and NDUS to investigate the matters further, remove anyone else that appears unfit, and source replacements for their positions outside NDUS.

Hopefully this petition warrants action and incentivizes similar reforms across the greater NDUS. Times are undoubtedly difficult, and individuals across the NDUS’s administration clearly take advantage of and therefore worsen these difficulties. During roughly the past decade, the NDUS at large has clearly emphasized increasing revenue and profit rather than bolstering existing (and creating new) academic programs, facilities, and their quality. While funding is obviously necessary, it’s necessity is evidently overstated and thoroughly abused. Academia was originally—and should still be—intended to raise and better the coming generations, rather than be used as a tool to enrich those who are clearly well-established and placed in their positions of power in order to help said coming generations. Essentially what we see perpetrated by administration today is a form fraud and thievery, albeit with extra steps and excuses. As it stands, I cannot recommend attendance at the majority of schools operating under the NDUS.
