Shame on those who have decided this. Why would Turks refrain from destroying our cemeteries if Armenians themselves don't respect them? This encourages them to destroy our heritage freely and widely.

In addition to demanding transparency and accountability, at the minimum a relentless effort should be launched to save the cemetery as a sanctuary, a safe haven , a peaceful serene place, a park for contemplation and re-member.. in the midst of the heartless luxury commercial plunder and decadence! if for nothing else to reinforce humanity!

By removing the cemetary of survivors of the Armenian Genocide located in the Birds' Nest Armenian Orphenage lot, the Armenian Church is erasing one of its few witnesses in Lebanon; this will not help the cause of the Genocide. On the contrary, its original location should be kept and arranged as a pilgrimage/memorial site to Armenians worlwide. Moreover, its relocation does not make any sense, since it lies in an area protected from construction (zone G), at the foot of the archaeological site.
