Backyards on 15th Street between 6th and 7th avenues in Brooklyn offer long vistas, broken only by low chain link fences.  This gives a feeling of being in a common garden for us all to enjoy.  However, a plan by Daniel Goldstein (of Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn), the new owner of 297 15th Street, to extend his house 18 feet back and 3 stories high threatens to destroy the special nature of the block.  Similarly, the plans to extend the front by 9 feet would block sunlight and change the character of the block.  This type of construction could damage the adjoining 130 year old homes.

We respectfully ask Mr. Goldstein to not build beyond the current size of his house.

This would completely ruin the light in our gardens. 15th street is special because of that open feeling and a 3 story extension is just way to aggressive for this block.

total nonsense. keep the neighborhood looking how it actually is instead of ruining it with massive eyesores. really hope he listens to the neighbors.
