Culling badgers will not stop btb it may even spread it! The decision to cull has been undemocratic and even many scientists do not support culling. This is a btb problem and not a badger problem, slaughtering our wildlife is not the answer and is a huge waste of
money!

The badger cull has proved nothing but the wanton killing of our local wildlife to satisfy political ideology without scientific grounding in fact. It has been costly and destructive. It's time to do the job of protecting animals, including badgers, from bovine tb by investing in vaccination.

The cull was a total failure and a disaster for our wildlife. Please don't make the situation even worse than it already is. Vaccination is the way forward for badgers, better biosecurity is the way forward for cattle.

Vaccination is the proven and humane way to deal with this problem. Innocent and healthy badgers have lost their lives needlessly. Let cattle movement be controlled and badger vaccination programmes be implemented.

Please do not allow badger culling on council land, it will not stop bovine Tb or help farmers and will cost the lives of countless healthy badgers.

Culls so far have failed, vaccinations have been proven to be far more effective and probably cheaper in the long run, with less chance of violent meetings between the 'cullers' and those trying to peacefully keep their regions countryside stars safe.

There has been an air of sadness and depression hanging over me since our beautiful badgers have been slaughtered. Please consider supporting a vaccination programme which would be a much kinder way forward than the current horrible means of killing badgers. What are we going to tell our grandchildren in the future; that we shot all the badgers and they are now extinct?

Vaccination of both cattle and badgers is the only credible way forward. The badger culls in both West Somerset and West Gloucestershire have been ruinous to those rural communities and to any tourism they might have had.
