Our proud City's memorials and statues are a part of our identity and history and should be protected at all costs. History, regardless of how upsetting can't be changed. However it can be a catalyst for education of how we live in much different times.

These statues are part of our history. We may not be proud of our ancestors, what they did back then is not happening today and will not stop racism. Do you think Italy will tear down the Colosseum because of the barbaric things that happened there...NO they wont because its their history. Leave our statues alone...enough is enough!
