Please keep our children safe!!! This world is scary enough, a school should be a place where children feel safe!

Every person walking into that school needs to go through the medal detectors and have their bags checked. My son should not have to be terrified to go to school every day and us as parents deserve the peace of mind knowing that every single precaution is being taken to protect our children.

Unfortunately this should be done at all schools but I have a nephew at SHS so this is dear to my heart!!! Protect all those who attend!

Although both my kids have already graduated from SHS, it is of the utmost importance to protect and keep our children safe at all times, especially at school when the equipment has already been purchased and should be used for ANYONE entering the building.

Myrtle Beach High does it. Do it, lives are at stake, literally!

My son is anxious every morning going to school and begs me not to have to go .. something has to be done to make these kids feel safer

This must be done . We don't want to be the next school shooting. Take the time to do it.

I have a kindergartener and it scares me everyday.

Metal detector should be used for every kid and adult, including parents coming in that building, does not matter if bell is going to ring, our children’s safety is more Important then a few minutes late to class, or start the day 15 minutes earlier. Our kids should feel safe coming to school.

Make our schools safe! We were told at the safety meeting last year that there are not enough resources to use the metal detectors everyday. This is simply not an option. They need to be used every day, our children’s lives depend on it! Please do not wait for something tragic to happen before something is done.

Ensuring the safety of all students, faculty and staff is our main objective.

I’m signing this because I’m a concerned parent. My child is not in high school yet, but she will be one day and something has to be done about this !!! For the safety and future of our children!

I strongly agree everyone needs to enter the metal detector.
