I've watched the actions of the Sarasota County Commision for over 40 years, and a worse group of people claiming to represent the people would be hard to find. Vote with the public's interest at heart for once.

As a former elected official in a Florida municipality, I understand Comprehensive Plans and find it impossible to defend ignoring its provisions in this case.

Your decision to take conservation land for any activity not specifically mentioned in the Comprehensive Plan is clearly illegal. It is becoming clearer every day that you are determined to destroy the Sarasota that generations have moved here to enjoy.

Does the BCC answer to the taxpaying citizens of Sarasota County, or to the Argus Foundation?

This is an egretious violation of the purpose of conservation land to preserve habitat for flora and fauna and for quiet enjoyment by the taxpayers of Sarasota.

Will we ever get over the joyous celebrating of shooting. Bang Bang! does that mean we are strong and manly?! Stop celebrating gun fire out on the range and/or in the cities. Dont let Pinelands reserve celebrate guns!
