Protect Rural Loudoun and the Transition Area from Growth

Please stop so much development

SAVE THE TRANSITION ZONE! I live in the transition zone, and moved here specifically because it is more RURAL than urban. Just say "NO!".

Any infringe mentioned of the buffer zone is unacceptable!

You can look at the destruction that happened in Stafford and Prince William counties to see this future. Western Loudoun is the last "green space" in our beautiful county. Please preserve this!

Keep western Loudoun rural and do not increase the development density.

We live on Rt 601 in Clarke County and would to help Loudoun Cty keep the transition and western zones density as adopted in the 2001 zoning plan.

I think we should continue to concentrate homes in clusters either hamlets or groups of patio homes if possible and save the land for common use

Its not funny that the average taxpayer must continue to fund our own destruction. We pay the officials and staff that continue to ignore our issues in the pursuit for more growth. Western Loudoun and Clarke are the last bastion of rural countryside and its under attack. 601 is already a dangerous situation with little practical options or solutions.

Please do not refine for a data center. Once the land is gone it can never be recovered.

Please note I live across the street from Loudoun on Blue Ridge Mountain Road and I work in Philomont. I also do most of my personal business in western Loudoun county

Maintaining the western Loudoun County as rural is key to retaining the history and farm land for future generations

The Blueridge Mountain Civic Association is a membership of residents who live along Blueridge Mountain Road (601) which weaves in and out of Clarke and Loudoun Counties. Our mission is "...to preserve the unspoiled beauty of the mountain and protect the resources of forest, water and wildlife..." To that end, we share the larger concern of preserving the health and well-being of western Loudoun's lands, wildlife and recreational ambiance, all of which support our agri- and small retail businesses. Unchecked, and unwise development, in both Transition and Rural zones will become a devastating circular process....more homes, more businesses, more roads, more traffic, more pollution, more trash, more hazards, etc, etc.... Please make sure the Comp Plan sets clear guidelines for preserving Loudoun's rural heritage, for once it's gone, it's gone forever.

Please do not spoil an important resource like goose creek!

No data center! Will ruin the land, Goose Creek, and destroy Our fragile wildlife

FDR said it best: For the conservation of our soil resources, we need forests to break the force of rainfall to delay the melting of snows,to sponge up the moisture that would otherwise pour down the slopes and grades, carrying with it invaluable fertility and creating floods that destroy. Much of the water that falls in forested land never needs to be carried away, for it is said that one average white oak tree will give off by evaporation one hundred and fifty gallons of water on a hot day. We should not only protect the existing forests, but create new ones. When our farmland becomes idle, we should plant new forests to improve the land and protect the watershed.

There is no need to rezone this land - stop selling Loudoun short ... ask any parent in Western Loudoun what internet service we have for our children to do their homework .... why are we so proud of data centers when they don’t serve the citizens of Loudoun County.... the money they make is equal to our horse industry and others that bring folks here... why oh why do we need to use this parcel let them go elsewhere ... I would rather pay higher taxes than have this damage our water sources..... save the Goose Creek it’s irreplaceable ! Thank you!

Don't condemn Goose Creek! It is an irreplaceable asset to our community. There are an infinite number of locations more suitable to a data center. We have only one Goose Creek.

Save our green areas to keep VA beautiful!

Please respect the wishes of the populace. We are the people that pay for this county and our wishes should take precedence. Please hear us!

The Envision Loudoun process made it clear that the people who live in Loudoun do not want to see an increase the Transition Area density. In our everyday lives, if something isn't working, you try something else. That should apply to county policies as well. The evidence is in: constant growth has NOT resulted in a better life for county residents. So ... it's time to try saying no for a change to the endless, creeping increase in density. Let's not add anything more to the growth commitments already in place and see how things settle down economically.
