West Potomac Academy Pro Graphic Studio is a course that offers high school students an opportunity to learn about design and the many fields that it offers. Students have the opportunity work with industry standard equipment, and learn face to face from some of the top local designers. WPA Pro Graphic Studio works hand in hand with AIGA DC, A professional organization for designers and other creative industries, to offer students real life experiences and mentorship programs with some of DC's top designers. Students learn a variety of conceptual and professional skills needed to make them a competitive asset to the design and other creative and many other technical industries. Currently the county is assessing the need to keep this program around, despite its fantastic opportunities and versatile skill sets, the county feels that it is worth dropping. For designers and other creatives we find this to be a huge problem. Understanding what it takes to be a successful designer and creative we value the opportunities that WPA Pro Graphics provides to help put students ahead of the curve and create better designers and professionals.
