The School Board finally backed down and reversed their dangerous policy. We stood our ground against their nonsense and forced them to put student privacy back at the center of our facilities. Stay sharp because we will be watching their every move from here on out.

We want to ensure the safety and protect the right to privacy of each and every student. As such:

We ask that the School Board protect everyone’s privacy by maintaining multi-user bathrooms and locker rooms on the basis of biological sex, not internal beliefs about “gender”. Our internal beliefs aren’t a sufficient reason to separate people. Our physical sex, however, is the essential reason to have private spaces like bathrooms and locker rooms where members of the opposite sex should not be present.

We ask that you stop the new practice of permitting students of one sex to use the bathroom, locker rooms and showers of students of the opposite sex.

We ask that you permit any student, whether transgender or not, who desires greater privacy, to use single-user private facilities if they prefer that.

The School Board thought they could dismantle our privacy behind closed doors without anyone noticing. This surge of support proves they were dead wrong and now they have no choice but to face the parents they have been ignoring.

my kids / step kids will be pulled from public school and sent to private school if they ever face this happening in their own class, you don't have air conditioning for the poor children in the schools now you demand they show themselves unclothed to the opposite sex? NO.

In our student handbook it says that we have rights guaranteed by our constitution. The school board is taking away 2100 students rights so that 1 student can be protected. I am one of those 2100. Praying that this motion passes May 8th.

I believe that if a child is confused about there identity then they need their own bathroom/changing room. My daughter will be in middle school next year and no way do I agree with letting a boy in there getting changed and showering in the Same room she's in. This ridiculousness needs to stop!!!!

We need to protect all of our children and ensure they all are safe, have a voice, are heard, and respected. This change in our school system would go against everything that I have taught my children regarding values, respect for themselves, and their privacy. Please keep my children equally protected and respected.

My 8th grade son is uncomfortable with the October directive. There is no need to accommodate a handful at the expense of the rest. Simple moral philosophy is to do the greatest good for the greatest number.

I do not agree with student who "feels" that they are the opposite sex changing in the same area as the sex that they want or feel that they are. Everyone deserves privacy from eyes of the opposite biological sex. If my child has to change in the same area with a person who is biologically not the same sex and has anxiety about it which affects her ability to get an education, that other child's right to "express his gender identity" does not trump my child's right to an education.

I think this is a totally unsafe environment to expose our children to.. I am totally against it & surely hope our board is smart enough to not let it happen!!

Freedoms are important, however we must remember there are humans who will abuse any change in rules. If you don't feel comfortable using rooms assigned to your physical characteristics, use the private rooms.
