As a renter in Pasadena, I think it is important to uphold our rights. I think it is unfortunate that landowners can't make more money off of us, but I think they will be okay without it!

While I think it would be good to have fair-minded landlords on the committee, appointing people who participated in the lawsuit is inappropriate and counterproductive. Please do not nominate such people or vote to confirm them.

Anyone who actively opposed Measure H and was a party to the lawsuit opposing Measure H after it passed should NOT be allowed to be on the Rental Housing Board. Their only purpose there will be to sabotage the law that the voters in Pasadena have voted to pass!

Anyone who has sued the city of Pasadena to stop Measure H obviously does not want to help it work as intended and should not be allowed to serve on the rental board.

Measure H was democratically approved by Pasadena voters in the November 2022 elections. It's disappointing that these plaintiffs are making such transparent attempts to dispute the will and interests of the people. However, if this petition gains enough traction, I believe our city council will choose to uphold the rights of tenants!

It's obvious that anyone who filed a lawsuit to block the Measure H law should be disqualified from the Rental Board. It's a clear conflict of interest. It would be the fox guarding the chicken coop. I expect the Pasadena City Council to protect my rights as a renter. If they don't, I and other voters will remember when they come up for re-election.

Don't appoint people to the Rental Housing Board, who have made it clear that they are dead set against this Measure H rent control law.
