This is a stupid idea, as LRGS has a 6th form, so calling it 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th form makes sense - that is, of course, unless these unruly radicals that have proposed the idea have also suggested changing L6 and U6 to ' year 12' and 'year 13', which I have always found to sound stupid. What's next? Calling first year of University 'year 14'?!? Ridiculous all round. I expected Chris Pyle to lead the school onward and upwards, rather than Pyle driving it into the ground.

Those included in the 'small group of teachers' that want the change should be crucified! They are no better than a bunch of Judas Iscariot's, giving LRGS the kiss of death. This terrible move will ultimately lead to the decline of LRGS, until it is not longer Royal, and no longer a Grammar school, which would leave it as 'Lancaster School', which sounds peasantry and vile.

This will be a futile move, much like the renaming of Leeds Met 'university' to Leeds Beckett - Everyone still says Leeds Met, and everyone still knows that their prospects in life are just as bleak under this new name. This change will result in nothing - 'year 7s' will always be first years, and will always be grubby and smelly.

What a worthy cause. God forbid that the children of Lancaster walking up and down a hill all day have to share academic year group names with the likes of the scummy common folk around the rest of the UK. Simply preposterous!
