Protect Our Students' Free Speech at Walton High School

And so it starts, the suppression of dissension in the Trump regime!

We are all protected by the Constitution. This actions of the school administration were discriminatory. They abused their authority to bully other Americans, a student and her family.

Free speech for all, not just who some choose.

Students are often at the center of change and tough questions. T-shirts unaffiliated with an organization or group but rather with ideas should be allowed. Discourse only happens when people can voice their side and we, as a country, need to be public with our ideas. The path forward doesn't get easier when we send kids home for a t-shirt. It emphasizes the wrong message. Good luck to that kid and I hope next time they can wear their shirt all day.

Unless there is something vulgar or sexual or drug based, freedom of speech is allowed. If kids are wearing Trump clothing, Clinton shirts must be allowed too! Shame on you Walton!!!!

If those words incite violence in others, those people should face the consequences, not the wearer of the shirt. Students have a right to their opinion. All opinions should be accepted equally.

If any other political messages are allowed in the school, this one should be as well. I understand that schools need rules and guidelines, but they must be fairly applied if we are to train our youth how to be responsible adult members of a constitutional nation.

The school has the right to not allow political slogans, etc. but only if they do it across the board.

Shame on you for not allowing all shorts...Freedom of speech!

After hearing the details regarding this incident, we cannot sit by and allow this to happen. First, shame on the school for allowing ANY political affiliation t-shirts, or any other such nonsense regardless of party affiliation. Second, if you're going to allow a student to wear pro-trump shirts, then you cannot suppress the voice of someone wearing a shirt to the opposite.

I am signing this petition in case that indeed a 'Hillary for prison' shirt was allowed while an 'America chose hate' wasnt!! This would be bias in its purest form!

The constitution is very clear on freedom of speech. That partisan policing also took place is especially egregious and further, it is a text-book case of harassment.

I watched them move the police in and everything :/ apparently they threatened to arrest them. It's ridiculous.
