Common sense will ensure that armed employees on the educational campus, etc. will do more to protect our children than declaring them as "GUN FREE ZONES" At least remove the "welcome murderer" signs.

I definitely support this program for Kenton County schools. The safety of our children is of utmost importance in this day and time. We can't leave them unprotected.

The recent events at schools involving shootings is all the more reason to have armed teachers in schools!

I urge the entire school board to look beyond their emotions and look at the facts. The lives of our kids may depend on it.

This is "common sense" that can actually help us.

I would like to see the POST program in the Boone County Schools.

The first thought that enters my mind every time I enter a 'gun free' zone is 'sitting duck'. Why do some in our society put our children in this position? POST make sense.

Eliminate Gun Free Zones and let everyone know that our schools and public places are not safe for anyone who would attack anyone and expect not to be stopped by someone who is prepared and ready to defeat them.

The politicians keep asking: "what can be done to stop these tragedies"? The answer is simple: Take away the "Soft Targets"! (Gun Free Zones) Soft Targets invite terrorists, the mentally ill, and cowards who wish to play out their fantasies.

We have tried the "gun free zone" with no success. Let common sense prevail and allow qualified teachers and administrators get this kind of training to minimize the loss of precious life should evil lurk into our schools.

ALL staff working in schools should be given the opportunity to be trained in use of firearms and allowed to carry them. Additionally students should be taught firearm use and safety just like parents used to do.
