I am a local teenager and I really think teenagers could benefit as a result of Kerry Co Co securing these lands. There are currently no facilities for teenagers in the town of Kenmare other than the Youth Club which is great but we need more than this, especially during the summer months. Please think of the youth of today and future generations. Please support this and sign the petition.

Here we go again. Personal greed over the betterment of our locality.

Enough of Kenmare has been used for housing, this wonderful piece of land should be made available to the whole community, for everyone to benefit from it, and to enhance this lovely town of ours. Kenmare is a seaside town, but no-one would know that in the town, this would provide that connection and bring direct access to other amenities to the town. Kenmare relies on Tourism for employment and this area would provide a great boost to the area. One person should not benefit over a whole community simply because he was allowed to graze his cows on it for a couple of years.

Listen to the people who live there. They know what's best for their community.

This is an important & historic amenity for the people of Kenmare and visitors. Privatisation will bring no benefits to the public and potentially bring further restrictrictions in access. This is an area of outstanding beauty that will be better preserved by Kerry County Council. Once it's gone, it's gone! Support KCC & the people of Kenmare to preserve this area for future generations.

Great Idea! Next, Henry Street should be closed for traffic and Canarian palms should be planted along the way!!!

I hear that certain persons have thrown a spanner in the works because they have - alledgedly - buried construction waste on the peninsula during the boom. They now are concerned that works on the land would reveal this.

Great opportunity for Kenmare, personal gain should be set aside for the overall good.

A great opportunity for the public. In an area where tourism is of importance it makes economic sense to open such areas to the public. Please negotiate a fair deal for those you represent.
