BLM should hold back these leases involving migration routes given a recently published, peer-reviewed scientific report on the long-term impacts of oil and gas development in the Pinedale area of Wyoming (Sawyer et al. 2017. Global Environmental Change 23(11):4521-4529). The premise of accommodation on which the Environmental Evaluation was based is false. We need to protect these migration corridors. Wyoming's wildlife is too precious to lose. There are plenty of other places to drill for oil and gas

These lands belong to ALL OF US - TO PURPOSELY LOOSE MONEY ON PUBLC LANDS TO BENEFIT EXTRACTION/EXTINCTION IS BREACH OF TRUST M, WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE AND A REAL ACT OF TREASON AGAINST THE LAWS ENACTED AGAINST JUST SUCH CORRUPTION. THERE WILL BE ACCOUNTABILITY.

It seems the drop in mule deer populations says it all. Can't we keep a little bit for them?

Minimizing wildlife disruption is a key to sustainable energy development in Wyoming. The migration corridors deserve this protection.

The BLM ought to start by reminding themselves the the precipitous drop in the mule deer population during the last few years. The deer don't need to be any more challenged than they already are.

Our wildlife is an important part of our WY heritage and outdoor recreational draw.

I spent nearly 40 years as a Wyoming Game Warden and know firsthand the importance of these migration corridors and crucial winter ranges.

Thousands of sportsmen rely on these populations. Impacting the migration may decimate the populations. We need science to understand the impacts. The oil and gas isn't going anywhere.

Once again, the BLM is ignoring what the people of Wyoming want done with their lands. It is definitely not necessary to make every bit of our public lands available for use by gas and oil companies.

I’ve lived in Wyoming all my life, 50+)and most of that time in mule deer country. I’ve seen a drastic change in populations and we cannot afford to threaten them any more. Please keep migration corridors safe!

I am a life long Wyoming resident and I strongly oppose ANY oil or gas development inside the corridor of the Red Desert to Hoback Migration! I’ve hunted these deer my entire life! I love these deer more than anything else thus state provides me with! This migration is extremely fragile. We currently cannot even realize the damage already done! So let’s not disrupt this any further once it’s gone it’s GONE FOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please DO NOT lease mule deer migration corridors and critical winter range areas. Doing so would imperil healthy and sustainable populations of extremely valuable wildlife habitat.

BLM's ongoing insensitivity continues to be pervasive. Politics over common sense.

Please base your decisions on science-based research and legally enforceable agreements to protect our wildlife.

Protect Wyoming's wildlife. We don't have to develop every place.

Wyoming's wildlife also bring money into the state. Our Wilderness areas bring in millions of tourist dollars. The latest Coen Brothers film, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is all filmed in the Rockies and is, in addition to entertaining and often hilarious, beautiful - absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. That film is being shown all around the world and will bring people to the High Plains of the Rockies and our mountains. Harming our wilderness and wildlife is like Paris knocking down the Eiffel Tower to build luxury housing or Cairo knocking down the pyramids to...drill for oil. The world is turning away from this type of energy. Let's look at the long term and invest in our wildlife.
