The next time a Mormon quotes Article of Faith # 11, I'm going to point to this incident to prove otherwise. It reads, "We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."
Let them worship how, where or what they may? Since the beginning of the pageant Christians have decided to worship the God of the Bible on this street in Manti through evangelism. The ONLY reason the Mormon Church wants to buy this street is to violate this Article of Faith. SHAME on the Mormon Church for attempting to infringe on the first amendment rights of other Americans.

This street is a wonderful place where people come together and participate in their first amendment rights. An action of buying property that seeks to limit the speech-interaction between various groups and individuals should be considered an indirect way of pushing back on the first amendment, and therefore disallowed by the government.

To allow a religious organization to purchase a public steet for the main purpose of stifling free speech is unconscionable. Please don't allow this to happen. If this, what's next?

This level of colusion and manipulation of the public is insane. Nauvoo had similar problems. We as a people are well beyond this.
