As a Society, the manner in which we treat the homeless folks in our City is embarrassing. If this is the best we can do it does not reflect well on the folks who have been offered the resources to address the challenge.

We are turning into a criminal run society while the lawmakers hide behind their gated and guarded homes.Sad times

Save our city! I lived in Tacoma in the 80s so I have seen this movie before. High homeless and drugs = black market drug trade and Gangs = higher crime/violence.

I was born here and have always loved my hometown. It breaks my heart to see our beautiful city rapidly morph into a frightening place to live. Absent safety, the citizenry cannot thrive. Tacoma’s Police force deserves to be honored for their dedication to our community’s safety and Tacoma’s citizens deserve a city council who will take action on our behalf.

I support the Tacoma police and I don't support the anti-police politicians that we currently have as our leaders. Please hold these 'leaders' accountable. Vote in replacement candidates that support the police and public safety.

This is not hard to understand. Has anyone not been paying attention to Seattle? It’s very obvious where we are headed. I’ve lived here for 36 years but I will not stay if the current situation continues and gets worse.

Seems like there is a violent crime everyday homeless people running around unchecked stealing from hard working people. Victoria Woodwards turns a blind eye and Alienates the police force

I’ve lived here most of my life and I’ve never seen my city look so bad, crime, homeless, traffic, people stealing things in front of me and not being able to stop it. It’s a lawless community and I’m sure the police can’t do their job like they want to for fear of being sued or having their good name dragged through the mud because they wanted to fight against crime . I’m sad to say but in two years we are retiring and are going to leave , the people in charge have destroyed this once beautiful city!

Homeless people knock on my doors at odd times and I am often afraid to answer my door at any time . My once desirable neighborhood is experiencing an abundance of theft and the robbers do it in broad daylight without fear. I wake up in the morning to discover the street sign stripped out of the ground near my house. Cars screech and burn tires at times when children are going to and from school. My neighbors’ cars are being stripped or stolen at night. It is becoming normal to hear gunshots at random times .It’s time to put an end of this crime and violence. Good citizens are getting fed up and it is time to make our city safe again and allow our police officers to do their job effectively giving them back their resources and supporting them. People are leaving the state because of it. This is serious and something must be done.
