The dock street condos get robbed almost every night we are all elderly and are terrified to leave our condos.

Things have got to change, criminals have to start going back in jail. Response times need to start going down. If things don’t change I guarantee there will be an increase of vigilante justice.

My neighborhood has been overrun with crime. Police do not respond to multiple bold break ins. I’m ready to put my boots on and start knocking to vote the mayor and our city council out.

I appreciate how well this petition articulates rational and common sense steps that must be taken before it's too late. This can't go on!

the non response to 911 calls is deliberate by the police, this is insane and it is criminal.

Tacoma residents and business owners have spent time and treasure improving our City’s reputation. It’s is not compassionate to let people live in squalor, and it is not fair to allow criminal activity to go unanswered because of the indifference of civil authorities.

We have had 5 different property crimes perpetrated against our home and businesses in the last year, costing us thousands of dollars in loss and damages. It’s totally unacceptable.

Pretty much a constant battle at our various buildings. To the point that we have added a permanent security person to our staff to patrol our buildings. Tenants are very frustrated.

Keeping our public safe is fundamental in our society. This whole movement in America this year to defund the police is ludicrous!
I support our police officers, firefighters, EMT, etc.

The transformation process that supports defunding the police and not supporting and respecting our law enforcement has resulted in the degradation of Tacoma. The lack of common sense leadership from Mayor Victoria Woodards and the Tacoma City Council to do the right thing by enforcing laws, maintaining community standards, and respecting law enforcement has created this disaster. We need to immediately remove politicians that don't do their jobs to keep our community safe and businesses thriving so we have a strong tax base and a safe community to continue to build Tacoma stronger and better.

Please focus on making our city clean and safe! If homelessness is going to be allowed then let's share the load and set up camps in all the districts! Not just the poor ones who don't have access to attorneys who will fight for them.

It is a tough job to enforce laws in this shifting morality of today. I would like to see Social Workers trained to go out with the police when so many calls are with homeless mental patients.

Failure to enforce law based on “homelessness,” etc., is the slippery slope that’s brought us to present - the criminal tail wags the community dog. The effects will compound exponentially the longer this continues.

I agree with this but I would like to know which barriers are referred to where they wrote " remove the barriers." If policemen have been removed due to bad behavior elsewhere, we don't want them here either.

Crime rate is on the rise and the community is hurt. Action from policy makers will be necessary.
