The time to act is NOW -- I've seen too many near misses and know people who were seriously hurt. The town and county should also consider putting in a traffic light at the intersection with the high school.

The orange crossing flags are a great addition, but more can only help. The traffic is horrendous with the route 80 refugees seeking alternate ways home. Just today I passed by several motorists crawling and just staring at their phones during their slow roll toward Chester. It is dangerous!

Having lived in Europe for many years where we walked everywhere and having relocated to Mendham Borough from the Township because of the opportunity for my family to enjoy the benefit and freedom of walking to friends, activities, schools or simply for the pleasure of walking in our beautiful borough to take in the beauty of nature and the smile of a passer by, I would love for the council to be even more proactive to ensure pedestrians’ and cyclists’ safety. Thank you in advance for your commitment in making Mendham Borough the best.

One of the most serious injuries is caused by a vehicle hitting a pedestrian. I know this after spending 25 years in the orthopedic fracture business and past Captain of our MB First Aid Squad.

The driving on Main Street in Mendham Borough can often be reckless, particularly given the amount of young children in the area.

The speed limit needs to be lowered to 25 on Main Street

Please consider speed bumps on Orchard Street. The amount of car traffic and speeding on a road which has two schools, and a park should require extra safety measures. Our children’s safety should be the utmost priority.

The sidewalks on mountain Ave all the way up to the intersection on mountain/main need to be fixed! The state of them is unacceptable and not feasible for stroller use. It’s nearly impossible to turn left onto main street from mountain with a stroller because of how narrow the sidewalk gets and it’s so close to all the cars turning right onto mountain. For a town with so many young kids, this is unacceptable.

100% behind this and hope it happens. The traffic and the speeding has become a real issue and something needs to be done on most roads in Mendham.
