Necessary. No compromising the integrity of the human body or that of the soil that sustains it!

I want food that gets its nutrients from the soil and is part of the cycle that gives nutrients back to the soil. No organic certification for hydroponics.

This is the government fooling the people of this country with their false labels. I am outraged over this policy. I want to purchase organic products that are from organic principles first placed. I purchase organic products for the purity of the product. Organic lables should mean exactly that.

Not much point in having laws and regulations if they aren't being followed or upheld. Dishonesty takes many forms, killing us with poisons not meant to be there, takes the cake. Stop messing with organics.

As buyers of organic products, it is of paramount importance that we can depend on the certification. No exceptions. If hydroponics can be used without toxic chemicals, if they can indeed be organic, then create a certification for them. Truly organic food is raised in soil, but food can be healthy when raised hydroponically under some circumstances. They are not the same, the conditions of growth are not the same, therefore the certification is not the same. Forgive the pun, but trying to apply the same rules is simply muddying the water. Stop it.

I must eat chemical-free food to stay healthy, due to past chemical exposure. I depend on the NOSB to protect me from CAFO production, hydroponics and imported food that is not actually organic. Please do this this for me and every American.

Without soil there is no life. Without soil there is no food. Soilless agriculture feeds plants synthetically to feed people synthetic food.

Let's get back to the land in our thinking about diversity-- it's a contradiction of thought, the organic standards should apply to a whole system of integrated ecological practices--like the template the natural world gives us.

The USDA can't be trusted, just like the FDA, they do not have our best interests at heart...only those of the huge corporations.

Protect and regularly test all products labeled organic for toxic substances such as glyphosate which contradict certified organic labeling.

Organic is about healthy soils - hydroponics and CAFOs have no place in these standards - please disallow their inclusion.

The USDA needs to do their job. Enforce the Organic Standard; it is well written and thoroughly adequate when the regulations are followed.

Please, no more bells and whistles and stop trying to fix something not broken. Hydroponic is NOT organic and I won’T buy it.
