Part of obtaining the USDA organic label is that the food needs to be grown in soil which involves adding to the nutritive value of the soil. Food raised hydroponically is grown in water with chemical fertilizers so why is it allowed to be labeled as organic and why isn’t it labeled as grown hydroponically? Watering down the USDA organic label is wrong and makes it harder for consumers to know what they’re buying.
