After 30 years and 10 months of service in HHC and NYCHA I believed I had secure medical coverage and now that I need this coverage they are trying to take it away.

Uphold the promises made! I'm sure that with a little creativity, the city can figure out how to cut expenses in other areas and not at the expense of elderly retirees.

Worked my whole life for these benefits. They’re not entitlements. We aren’t falling for the bait & switch. I want the coverage I paid into all these years, not what you want to switch us to.

It is alarming that after a lifetime of service NYC would even consider altering our medical coverage.

It is despicable that this change to our health care coverage is being changed with little or no notice.

Do not change my Medicare benefits! I do not want privatization of benefits! NYC, keep your promise. I served many the NYC community and worked under the assumption that you were going to keep your end of the deal. Throughout those years, I kept my end of the deal! Be fair!

Please do not take our current health care plan away unless you can replace it with a comparable one . As someone who turned 65 last week, I am afraid to get older now. I wasn’t before because I knew I had a healthcare plan that would be there for what might be ahead. and that I worked for those benefits for almost 30 years.. Do the right thing!

This move would betray city retirees and undermine the movement to expand publicly funded health care in the US.
