This area has been well-established as residential for over 13 years: as residents here, our safety and well-being – and that of our gardens and property – must be protected.
Our gardens were not designed or planned with public safety in mind, and are not maintained, paid for or patrolled by Islington Council (as public gardens are).
Since increasing public access to our gardens, we have had to pay the price both financially and emotionally in terms of increased litter, vandalism, theft, anti-social and threatening behaviour, and damage.

Finally someone doing something. Sick of finding beer cans in the bushes and random people wandering past my window at night.
Our kids play here. Why would they want to open it up to god knows who? Not fair on the families living here.
I moved here for the privacy and the quiet gardens. If the public want a park they can go to the one down the road. Leave us alone.
It was quiet until they started letting everyone in. Now its just constant noise. Shut it down.
Living here for ten years and it has gone downhill fast. Keep the gates locked and the public out. We pay for the upkeep not the council.

TOTAL DISGRACE. People just dump their rubbish everywhere and expect us to clean it up. Keep our green space private so we can actually enjoy it.
