Protect North Somerset Council's remaining badgers by investing in badger vaccination projects in the area.

Think traffic on the roads cull enough badgers anyway. As custodians of the land Farmers should set aside reserves on their property and work with wildlife not against it.

The total cost of the Welsh Government vacination programme in 2012-where very,very few badgers were shown to have bovine TB was 1.2 million pounds. this was over half amillion pounds less than the cost of the policing of the Gloucestershire cull this summer. Where is the economic-let alone etical-sense in this?

Badgercull is inhumane, inefficient and costly. Do not let it happen in North Somerset

The actions of North Somerset Council should reflect the will of the majority of the residents and not support badger culling, but proactively support badger vaccination.

The cull has been an atrocity, and an utter failure. Many hundreds of badgers are dead, and the only likely outcome is that bTB will spread due to perturbation. Vaccination of badgers is the only workable option

The pilot badger culls have been a failure; have resulted in the unnecessary killing of 940 badgers in West Somerset at an estimated cost of £4,100 per badger - £3,854,000. They will not have helped farmers with the problem of bTB in their cattle and have been divisive and split members of local communities. Vaccinating badgers until cattle vaccination is a reality has none of these negative issues and there is a growing band of well trained, willing volunteer waiting to help.

The science does not support a cull and I will oppose an introduction to culling in North Somerset

We must protect our wildlife at all costs and in doing so protect the balance of life.

Please don't let this madness continue.

I believe in the Gov's manifesto to make room for wildlife - and that means badgers. Culling large numbers of badgers would, at best, give meagre benefits in reducing the cases of bTB within the National Herd and that is scientifically proven unlike the spin put on current badger cull policy by Coalition Government pandering to prejudice of NFU & the farming industry

The pilot culls this year were a disgrace. A failure predicted by leading scientific experts. This must not be allowed to happen again.

Do the humand thing, vaccinate not exterminate.

The world is not a bad place, it's what we are doing to it and in it that causes the problems.
