I support the slot along with a bag and size limit on the blue cats. There was a day when trot lines and jug lines were needed to feed families. Those days are long gone. Its time to outlaw them.

Please protect our Texas trophy catfish fisheries! Due to lack of education on this subject, most anglers fish for "now" instead of fishing for the "future". There always will be plenty of eating size catfish available (they are delicious!). I just hope years from now we're not considering 20lb cats trophy size.

We NEED a state wide regulation protecting these trophy fish. Texas is behind on regulations protecting blue catfish.

The over harvest of the mature Blue Cats in Lake Tawakoni has reduced the numbers of smaller Blue Cats. I have noticed a big decline in the smaller fish being caught in the past couple of years due to over harvest of the mature fish. This problem is going to continue if TP&W doesn't come up with a limit of some kind to help slow down the harvest of the mature Blue Cats.

I think tags should be given with a license for up to three bluecats a year over 30 pounds per year. Then enforce it.
