As a very small community of residents there's almost 1000 signatures opposed to the boards plans. Why is this even an issue still? Why are we not listened to? This is OUR community? We're not just at the hands of a few board members, so stop making decisions no one who actually resides here wants. Outrageous.

The waterfront greenspace and laneways should be protected as Parkland and off the table for any development.
While I do understand that the Park Board is under constant pressure to keep the park financially solvent, it would seem that there are many other options, other than having these areas available to them for sale, that could be explored first. There is good debate and argument on both sides for some development around the golf course, a hotel/marina restaurant at the east end of Sunnyside campground etc. etc., but it is almost unanimous that the waterfront greenspace be left as Parkland.
The regional Park of Cultus Lake has evolved as a very unique and beautiful place that is cherished and enjoyed by many residents and visitors. The ease of access to the lake and beach path and public wharf's are a big part of the reason this all works, and I think it should be protected at all costs.

Cultus Lake Park was created for public use for all the people who come here, including: the First Nations people, the residents of Chilliwack, people from each of the electoral areas of FVRD, and the millions of visitors who want to preserve and protect green space from residential and commercial development. It is an important issue for more people that just the residents of the lake. All green space at Cultus Lake Park needs to remain as green space in perpetuity for all future generations. N0—emphatically no—to further erosion of Cultus Lake Park!!

Cultus Lake Park is used by millions of visitors each year. All of these green spaces are used by families in the summer for picnics and lake access. It seems insane to me that residents are fighting a Parks Board intent on developing a park that is used by the public. Isn't the role of a Parks Board and elected officials to protect the park?

We need those spaces. For the public to get access and its great that there is green space between homes. Why does everything have to be on top of each other. Free space is good for all.

Without the lanes there will be no access to the beach for safety / emergency reasons and for enjoyment.

Cultus is too packed as it is. The Parks board should be buying back lots to turn into waterfront parks not trying to cram more people into what little green space remains.

The waterfront green space and lake access areas MUST be maintained. These areas are enjoyed by SO many, beyond just the homeowners. Cultas is already so crowded and losing these small, but critical, green spaces would be a terrible long term decision. Please rethink any plans that will compromise these areas.
