its sad that this country still lives in the middle ages and to think they will host the euros next year the competitors might not be safe.

8 years ago, I was a foreign student myself and enjoyed a warm welcome in the US from fellow students and the host community. And it was not in a cosmpolitic NYC, but in rural Texas. Everybody who heard my accent when I talked was eager to ask me where I am from, do I like it in the US, do I miss my home country, what is Ukraine like etc. EVERYBODY was wishing me to have a good time in their country. I don't remember a single person who would tell me to go back after I am through with my studies. I do not understand why people in my country who are boasting to be hospitable cannot be at least half as welcoming as people were to me (and are to thousands of Ukrainian students abroad).

The authorities have to do something about this. The attacks have started in Ternopil city too. 5 international students for the four days have been attacked. Most of the victims are blacks from Africa.

we must be protected no matter the degree of crimine committed by foreign student.The international community would laugh at ukraine if she not able to protect foreign citizens in their country in the awake misunderstanding .

This is truly disgusting, and yet Ukraine is to host the Euros? Why such an act? How many years have foreigners been flooding into Ukraine but yet no change in mentality. Or do they think its only in Ukraine where foreigners or foreign students exist? It's appalling and all I am thinking of right now is to finish safely and go back home. I read one of the comments from a Ukrainian which I love so much. They (Ukrainians) are treated with utmost respect in other countries but its the reverse in their own country. Well, the Authorities and stake holders involved MUST do something about this!

This is horrible. Students are just trying to get an education far from home. Nobody deserves to be treated like a criminal because of where they were born.
