Is this what one has to pay for being honest? If so, is this what the leadership at Chennai corporation suggest that its better NOT TO SERVE PEOPLE but SELECT CONTRACTORS ALONE. Honourable Mayor ... we still have hopes left that you will stem this rot

It's time to clean up the system and allow people to do the same Present administration is like what was projected in old MGR movies ot that the villain part is being played out !!

We are talking about Swatch Bharath ! The first cleaning that we need to do now is disease called the "Corruption". Honest officials must be encouraged to act against agencies swindling our hard earned tax money.

In fact the contractors were informed of the road damage and strict action will be taken against negligence of the repair works to be undertaken by the work awarded contractors.The officers had nothing to do but perform the conditions as read and accepted by the contractors.The Deputy commissioner should be brought back to his position with more powers only to make the COC proud of their quality policy.

Just government had got beaten up on Sahayam's case. Still there is no learning out of it. We need Vijay to be restored back which will ennsure that the government is willing to serve the people not the contractors.

Bureaucrats are there to help the Govt/Council of Ministers to run a clean administration and Mr Pingale has a done a good bit of it for which he seems to have been transferred. Will not the judiciary take cognizance of this and issue a notice to the Govt to explain the reason for his removal and also the removal of the names of the blacklisted contractors from the Corporation website? Removal of the contractors' names from the websites will amount to the Govt helping the corrupt activites.

Officers are the engines of a Govt , good officers means a good governance . I support Vijay for his courageous actions against the contractors to ensure the quality of the service they provide.
