At least , we should fight for the corrupt contractors list to be displayed in the corpn website, if we cannot revert his transfer. Bad roads are everybody's eye sore.

Vijay Pingale is a hero for taking this up, for years I have been watching the corruption in CoC. The common man should support the likes of Vijay Pingale so that many more such officers will be brave enough and motivated with such support to clean the system.

if chief secretary is going to buckle under pressure from lobies what kind of administrative officers are we witnessing? honest officers shoukd be allowed to make a visible difference to society. he should be posted back and the poiticians sent a message that they are public servants to support honest officers to do good to peole who elect them.

I am extremely disappointed. I have some level of trust on Saidai Duraisamy, but this incident only shows that either he has no power and the power lies with such ridiculous contractors OR he is also part of them. No other option but reward such truthful officers and punish the culprits.

As an active commuter of chennai roads, i know what is happening to our roads after even brief showers. It is evident that quality of road laid is not at all good. This is the time we should support such officer (Vijay Pingale) who is really working for people. Bring Back Dr. Vijay Pingale....

It is extremely disappointing to see officers who address issues that matters to citizens are shunted out. The timing is brazen and I register my protest against it.

I am a orthopaedic surgeon, Daily treating more than 10 patients injured on road traffic accidents. 90% of the accidents are due to the bad roads, people concetrating on the pot holes, trying to avoid bad patches rather than safe driving. From my opinion if the roads are bad is such a stable weather country - the contractors should be held responsible for their shabby actions. 15,000 deaths in tamilnadu in 2014. Myself or one of my family member might be in line next. I fully support the honest officer who took the initiative to make the shabby corrupt contractors to the light. Mr. Vijay pinglae might be a guide for better roads in future. but INDIA needs 1000 Vijay pinglae. If u the government sabotage sincere officers like him, then you are directly supporting corruption and corrupt india. Beware, public is not quiet as you think, we are clever and getting more and more powerful. One day politicians will be executed at a press of button. My anger and frustration explained. Dont make the roads and our lifes more worse. Bring him back.

This has been the tactics that corporation use to avoid serving the public. Invariably sincere officers do not find a place in the office to perform their duties. We has a similar case in adage as well where the AC was transferred without any rhyme or reason. We should object if we need corruption another beauracracy to be curbed.
