Recently, 5 Hector’s Dolphins were trapped in a communal set nest. All of them died. California, North Carolina, South Australia and Finland have banned commercial set nets to protect their endangered species. New Zealand CAN and SHOULD also do this.

I really never expected this much movement when I hit publish but here we are and it makes me feel like maybe things are actually going to change now. Watching all these people show up for the dolphins is overwhelming in the best way because for a long time I felt like I was shouting into the wind.

Heartbreaking to hear this. Ban the nets now before they are all gone for good.
