Been a sole trader myself I thinks it's shocking that you choose to raise rates on the ones who have kept the heart of town going through bad times. If anything they should be cutting them to help bring money back to local businesses

With so many businesses struggling...the 11% increase in commercial rates will end their struggle...as they will have to close their business down. Disgraceful that some councillors voted for an increase in rates!!
