Midwives are invaluable! They were the saving grace in my birth experience and who I prefer to go to for regular care.

The midwives were the reason I chose Seven Hills West Fork. I won’t be back if they are no longer at this location. This is a significant loss to our community. We love & need our midwives on the west side!

I am a current patient of the Seven Hills West Fork location. I have been a patient of Cheyenne Brown APRN, CNM for over 6 years. She has been an integral part of the conception, prenatal care and delivery of all of my children. I am extremely disappointed in the decision to terminate all of the midwives serving the West Fork office location. This is a significant loss to our community, leaving local families with fewer choices for reproductive care and no access to midwifery services.
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my third and have now been forced to completely replan my labor and birth plans. My freedom of choice has been torn away from me and burden added. All during a pivotal time in which I should be focusing on my health and my family. I now must sincerely weigh the options of leaving the practice this far into my pregnancy verses remaining and continuing to support an organization that doesn’t support my health as the patient. Both options are stressful and neither is ideal.

A midwife assisted with the induction of a nonviable pregnancy. She was so great at making sure I did not ultimately need an additional D&C, and spent so much extra time making sure I was coping as best as able and did not have any additional questions. It's a true loss to not have the midwives there anymore!

I delivered my second baby as a VBAC with the wonderful midwives of Seven Hills West Fork in May. It was an empowering, life changing experience. The midwifery care I received in office visits and during my delivery was exceptional and distinct and I am so grateful. Women need the option of midwifery care!

As a Cincinnati birth worker and Student Nurse Midwife, I am appalled with the decision made. Midwives improve birth outcomes, and reduce both infant and maternal morbidity and mortality. Equitable access to midwifery care, along with support for both patient choice and mid-level providers, has been effectively removed from the entire West Side for financial gain.
