Silver Creek School, in the heart of Etobicoke, home to the Silvercreek Pre-School and Etobicoke Children's Centre, is at risk of being sold by the TDSB.The Etobicoke Children’s Centre is dedicated to providing services to children, youth and their families who experience challenges related to mental health and autism. The ECC has been in our neighbourhood since 1999 and serves approximately 1200 children and their families annually.
Silver Creek Pre – School has been operating at Silver Creek for 40 years with approximately 70 children attending morning and afternoon classes; 80 % of children have special needs.
Friends of Silver Creek School is a sub-committee of the RGRRA working with both schools and local politicians to raise awareness amongst Richmond Garden residents regarding the above TDSB developments and to help advocate solutions that would see both organizations continue operating out of Silver Creek School.

Please email our elected representatives.
Everyone has a connection to someone directly or indirectly who may be living with mental health challenges or autism and benefits from services provided by organizations like the ECC and Silvercreek. Collectively we cannot afford to lose these services as they are vital to the future of our children and the community as a whole. I attended last night meeting, so many heart wrenching stories, success stories. All children deserve a fighting chance, schools like Silver Creek are vital to the community. Shame on the TDSB

Ridiculous that shutting Silver Creek and ECC down us even an option. Walk a mile in the children's and their family's shoes and you would be bloody ashamed of yourselves.

After we received a diagnosis of cerebral palsy for our daughter Kalea, we had no idea where to turn for help and advice. Silver Creek helped us source the very best services to improve her life. Silver Creek is a wonderful place and must not be sold. Please help us save this absolutely incredible school.

The bar for any moral society is set by how high it places the welfare of children on it's list of priorities. They are our future and most precious of citizens. Do the right thing!!

The Silver creek location should not be closed down for condos! This location has made such a huge impact on my niece's development.
