We need a better place for this to be located. This is being placed to close to a previous water source and will damage trout streams and add more pollution to the St Louis River.

Omar owns other gravel pits that would be better suited to this operation. We live in the country for a reason and that is to enjoy clean air and water along with peace and quiet when outside. The noise from this operation along with health issues is not suited for this residential area. This operation should be set up in one of Omar's other gravel pits.

The water is precious.
The land is precious.
The lives living next to it are precious.
Tire recycling areas are a breeding ground for mosquitos (just say "no" to Zika"), rats and other rodents, not to mention the great fire hazard and possibility of groundwater contamination. And if the tires were turned into crumbs for other uses (tracks, playgrounds, etc), the dust that produces has been known to cause respiratory problems in those living nearby.
If this were a gravel several thousand feet from homes or away from streams or lakes, it would have much less impact on humans, wildlife, and fresh water.
The gravel pit owner surely has other options of where to allow tire recycling.
Don't allow it at this location for these health reasons, and also so the neighboring homestead values will not plummet.
The gravel pit owner and tire recycler have other options - don't let it be this one.

Please don't ruin our family homestead by allowing this operation. Our property will be worthless for resale and useless for our future enjoyment. Let this guy put it in his backyard if he thinks it won't ruin the water. We don't want to be the next Flint, Michigan.
