Laura you should be ashamed as you didn’t read the petition fully. We do feel supported by union Leadership. We don’t feel supported by Administration nor the Governor. Also yesterday you actually signed it not once but twice. Guess you got bullied by someone and now need to comment. No one is after Kathy. We are upset that Non-essential workers are getting denied by admin to telecommute since they are interpreting DOA policy how they see fit. READ IT FULLY

Treat your workers with care and foresight or there will be a mass exodus of those who survive this.

I am In no way in support of this! You should all be ashamed of yourselves! What in the world do you expect your union to do? You should be blaming your elected officials not organizing an angry mob against Kathy! And just for the record she is also being exposed to the virus like the rest of us! We all want to go home. Kathy can not force the State to let us work from home. You should all be ashamed of this! I am ashamed for you. Be safe everyone.

It’s sad that there’s been exposure towards DCYF workers and the DOA is denying claims for them to work from home. Protect our workers. Protect our communities.

“Does one worker become sick solely because of their start date within an agency or because they do not have access to a laptop/VPN? Again, the directive last night was that teleworking could be done without state equipment. This is being denied to 580 members.” PREACH

Social workers have to go and see kids and put themselves and their families at risk everyday. It's not fair to ask that of them......they go above and beyond the call of duty and should be respected and protected like all other people during this trying time.

Why are essential state employees, who still have to go into homes and interact with the general public, in an environment we have no idea if its safe, not being paid state of emergency pay???

delete As a former 580 worker, I am with you. Be safe and support each other. Your already tough job just became much tougher. It is time for unified support from the agency and the State.

I requested 3/9 and put in a formal request 3/12, after having to seek out policy on teleworking due to my compromised immune system / autoimmune disease. I still have had no response from admin on whether I am approved or not. We need support!
