Its beyond time to make a change. Give parents the opportunity. As of 4/7 there are 18 "active cases" amongst all students and parents. And change the policy that every sniffle isn't covid. There are more sicknesses out there than covid. Allergies are bad right now and just because a kid sneezes doesn't mean they need to be sent home for 10-14 days...seriously.

Please restore our freedoms and give people a choice. Please do not make people wearing masks the new norm for our children to see and grow up with. They don’t work!!!!!!

Make masks optional ASAP. We want our kids to share their smiles with their peers.

I am greatly concerned for my son’s mental health being forced to wear a mask all day at school. These are critical years of forming bonds with peers and socially interacting with others. Wearing a mask should be an individual choice of the parents and students. I have yet to see any research proving the effectiveness of wearing masks and spreading Covid 19. The governor has lifted the emergency mandate many weeks ago and THIS was the reason given that our children were forced to wear masks. The mandate has been lifted, so why are they still being forced? What is the reason now?

There are TONSof examples of how our kids are being damaged physically and emotionally by masks. PLENTY OF OTHER TEXAS school districts have offered school choice!! Times up!!!

Our children have suffered for far too long. Supporting mask wearing now, with Texas Covid-19 diagnosis dramatically down, is a sign of Stockholm Syndrome.

Masks cause my ASD daughter a great amount of stress. Her environment would be bettered by a removal of masks.

Vaccines are available for teachers. Give the choice back to parents. Masks should be OPTIONAL. Teachers can wear masks if they feel it protects them. If masks work, that means they protect you from both inbound and outbound germs. It’s not a one-way mask. If masks work, then children unmasked should not pose a threat. Therefore, masks should be optional.

Change mask requirement to “recommended” not “mandatory”
