My main concern as a resident of Star is the safety of the people who will be located on this site. I cannot believe there isn't a safer and more adequate site on the island. I feel that this has been rushed through as an act of desperation on the Council's part & the voices of Star and Llanfairpwll have not be listened too thus far.

Anglesey Vintage Equipment Society own a storage facility in the village of Star where Historical machinery and vehicles are housed as Chairman of the Vintage Society it is a major concern to me and the members of the society. I don't feel the suggested site in Star is suitable. The site is also too close to the A55 and A5 proving to be unsafe.

Surely there must be a safer plot on the Island. Sighting a camp between 2 busy roads has to be against all health & safety guidelines.

Site not safe for Gypsy/Travellers' or the residents of Anglesey as it is proposed to place the site between the A5 and A55. The council have not complied with policy or assessed the site fairly or effectively compared with other proposed sites.

It is a question of safety. Purely and simply, this site is not suitable on grounds of safety, for all the reasons stated above. It is ludicrous and dangerous.

Working almost opposite the proposed site I can tell you exactly how dangerous this stretch of road currently is. I lose count in a day of how many times I hear and see near misses. We've witnessed an horific fatality, wagons loaded with gas canisters almost driving into the building, buses constantly having difficulty in pulling out of the junction. Screeching brakes and honking horns are the norm which is terrifying. To place the travelling community in such a dangerous situation is scandalous and there will without a shadow of a doubt be more fatalities if the site is approved.

I don't believe this site to be safe due to its proximity to the A55 & A5 roads. Sandwiched between both must have its Health and Safety issues!!

The location and geography of the proposed plot sandwiched between A5 and A55 dual carriageway and within yards of the Holyhead to London Rail route [with proposal for 1 Billion electrification/upgrade for this route in North Wales and Cheshire] is ludicrous - putting the lives of Gypsies/ travellers , road and rail users at serious risk.

The idea of putting a traveller site on this piece of land is ludicrous, there have been numerous accidents at the Star/llandanial junction we already have bus stops on either side of the junction the stretch of road between Star & llanfair only has 2 tenths of a mile which is not white lined this indicates how dangerous a stretch of road is I urge the council to use common sense and rethink there plans to locate to an area more suitable.
