We are opposing the rezoning for the proposed Firearm Training Facility as it would have an extremely negative impact on the community of Mississippi Mills. Impacts would be seen in the following areas (but not limited to); Lowered property values, environmental contamination, local businesses, local farms, water and noise pollution, contamination of the water table, lead dust particules in the air, nuisance and noise violations, quality of human life, personal and neighbourhood safety and tourism. It would create a war-zone atmosphere in our community. At present, many lawsuits and class actions have been filed against other firing ranges across the globe for the above reasons.  By signing this petition you are saying "NO" to having this facility in our community. Thank you for your support.

We moved here for the peace and quiet. Not to hear gunshots all day long from a training range. This is a residential area and it needs to stay that way.

Total insanity to put this in the middle of our community. What about the lead dust? My kids play outside everyday.

Think about the livestock and local wildlife. The constant noise is going to be a nightmare for everyone living nearby. Please don't let this happen.

Property values are going to tank if this place opens. Who wants to live next to a firing range? Not me.

Bad for business. Bad for tourism. Bad for the neighborhood. Just say no.
