Proposed I/I Budget Cuts to Horse Providers and Shipping Expenses

I/I introduced me to the wonderful world of polo. Without my connections and relationships in polo, I would not have had many of the life-changing experiences I've had, and I would not have been able to land the job that I currently have.

I am a former collegiate player, club manager, mother of a former interscholastic player/current collegiate player, wife of a club delegate, daughter-in-law of a Polo Hall of Famer, and have been a member of the USPA for 27 years. I am extremely grateful to have been introduced to polo in college. I support this petition wholeheartedly.

I/I and its horse providers are literally the foundation to the sport upon which many career players springboard into polo careers and become ambassadors to the sport. Cutting this funding will slow the growth of the sport to a trickle. Please reconsider!

Speaking as coach for OSU (Oklahoma State University), I believe that to discontinue the transportation & horse leasing program will devastate the OSU polo club’s budget by 50% or more and completely demoralize the membership and their parents away from the USPA & the I/I program.

Too much good comes out of these programs - the trickle down effect for the USPA will be huge. Don’t be so short sighted on this. The effect on I/I programs will be devastating. Makes no sense.

It is extremely important to keep these programs funded.

Makes you really think long and hard about why we fork out membership dues every year to this organization (USPA). My dues really don't do much for me, as a player and member, so I'd like to think that those funds would, at the very least, be used to help support those who lend horses to the younger generations (I/I) who we are trying to instill a love for this sport with the hopes that, when they are adults and have the financial resources at their disposal, continue to partake in the sport of polo.

Please continue to support the next generation of players!

The I/I program will die with constraints such as these. USPA should be looking at the future of polo.

I/I polo contributes greatly to the growth of the sport and to the growth of USPA. It is a program that should be increasingly funded, not cut.

It is difficult enough for children to play, please do not cut their funds.

Don’t cut the I/I budget!

This will deeply impact I/I polo in a negative way.
