Proposed I/I Budget Cuts to Horse Providers and Shipping Expenses

This funding is essential to the growth of the sport in the Northwest. Loss of this funding will materially damage the Rose City I&I program, which runs counter to the USPA mission. Do not hurt grassroots efforts to grow polo in order to fund flashier but less impactful programs.

I play polo in the San Diego area. I know one important facets is growth of the game. Budget cuts such as the one proposed deter youth from entering the game of polo. It is important to introduce youth into the game of polo through the Interscholastics program. As a result, I am in disagreement with these proposed budgets cuts, and recognize the negative effect such cuts will have on the growth and future of polo.

Please keep funding in place for youth polo!

I am a former I/I player who strongly opposes this change.

This is such an awesome sport for the young - let’s keep giving them opportunities and keep the sport going

Please allow expenses for horses provided to children in inter scholastic competitions to be reimbursed to the providers. Without this, the sport will surely suffer and so will many talented young players.

I'm asking the USPA to please support our youth and to keep the reimbursements the same.

I played Intercollegiate....went to vet school, now have 5 playing ponies and 2 little girls in pee wee polo...they are so looking forward to Interscholastic!! Please help keep these programs alive!!

The youth program is working.. keep moving forward

Cuts will shoot polo future in the foot!

This is a short-sighted strategy on behalf of the USPA. The young people who are enabled to play today will be the future stewards of this sport. Reinstate funding!

The sport needs new blood and interest. To cut this budget is to cut off the nose to spite the face. Self-destructive!

My son has been an integral member of the I/I program for several years. At 14, his goal is to go to university on an I/I scholarship. To remove funding for this very important program is a shame. As a single mom, it’s very helpful to have this funding in place and to continue to encourage youth polo!!

I/I is how I learned polo and the only reason I got to know the sport and still play today.

The best young US Players, including many who will become patrons, come out of this program. This is the last place the USPA should be seeking to save money

Nothing new for the USPA. They have initiated programs before only to walk away a few years later. Happens when the elite control the game. Perhaps it’s time for a new governing body.
